EUGENE, Ore. - Auburn junior Rachel Dincoff earned a ninth place finish in the shot put on Thursday at the NCAA Outdoor Championships at Historic Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore. Dincoff set a personal-best with a throw of 55-0/16.76m on her third attempt, which ranks as the eighth-best mark in program history.
“We knew coming in that this was going to be a grind,” head coach Ralph Spry said. “Rachel Dincoff had a great PR and just missed scoring by an inch. She is just a junior, so she will be able to come back stronger next year in the shot put.
