GREENVILLE, S.C. – The Auburn men's and women's cross country teams continued their season at the 3rd Annual Furman Classic on Saturday.
The women scored 30 points to win the meet ahead of SEC rivals Georgia with 86 points and hosts Furman with 89. Freshman Brenda Kigen and sophomore Molly McKenna finished second and third respectively to lead the Tigers who had five of the first 11 finishers in the race.
“Overall I’m delighted with the team’s performance,” head coach Mark Carroll said. “The girls are running extremely well and I’m looking forward to seeing what they can do for the rest of the season.
