Well this was a game that happened. Not saying that I condone just rolling out the helmets against anyone but where the Auburn pitching staff is right now (trying to give Tanner Burns and Jack Owen as much rest as possible and getting work for the young guys work) there was no way Auburn could have overtaken Vandy in this game. It’s nothing to be ashamed of, I think Vandy is the best team in the country and it will be a disappointment in Nashville if there isn’t a big trophy from this team. That said, I thought Richard Fitts did an excellent job against long odds, going 4 innings giving up 3 runs on 7 hits while striking out 5.
