AUBURN, Ala. – Former Auburn coach Tommy Tuberville thinks the latest addition to the Tigers’ staff is a good one.
During an appearance Friday on ESPN 106.7, Tuberville praised Auburn’s hiring of former offensive coordinator Al Borges as an offensive analyst.
“I don’t know how they pulled that off. Gus (Malzahn) did a great job,” Tuberville said. “That may have been his best recruiting of the year to get a guy to be an analyst that has so much experience like Al Borges.”
Borges was Auburn’s offensive coordinator under Tuberville from 2004-07 – a stretch when the Tigers went 41-9 with him on staff, including a 13-0 season in 2004.
