Former Ole Miss, Auburn and Texas Tech coach Tommy Tuberville said he “stuck his foot in his mouth,” and now he’s trying to rebuild relationships with Texas Tech.
Tuberville called in to a Lubbock radio station to apologize for his remarks about the city, the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal reported.
Two weeks ago, Tuberville said Lubbock “looked like Iraq” and also compared the Texas city to Siberia on a Birmingham-based radio show.
He called the Thetford & Ashby Show in Lubbock to backtrack from those comments.
“I’m here to apologize,” Tuberville said.
