Auburn pitcher Lexi Davis (24-2) went the distance to help beat Louisiana-Lafayette 6-3 and send the Tiger Softball Team to their first ever College World Series.
The Tigers tied the game in the fourth inning and then exploded for four runs in the sixth aided by Kasey Cooper’s three-run homer as the Tigers swept the Rajin’ Cajuns two games to zero in the NCAA Super Regional.
Auburn (54-9) will play the winner of the LSU-Arizona super regional Thursday in Oklahoma City.
