AUBURN, Ala. - The No. 26 Auburn women's tennis team advanced to the winner's bracket of the Blue Gray National Tennis Classic with a 4-1 win in its opening match against the University of Denver.
The defending title holders clinched the doubles point in a timely fashion. Junior Caroline Turner and sophomore Georgie Axon claimed court two with a 6-2 win over Denver's Camille Verden-Anderson and Gracia Mboko. The freshman tandem of Jaeda Daniel and Madeline Meredith clinched the doubles point with a 6-2 win over Denver's Anna Riedmiller and Hada Chang on court three.
