Sean White cannot start at quarterback in 2016
The redshirt-freshman played about as bad as humanly possible against a soft Memphis defense completing 14 passes for 103 yards with two ghastly interceptions. Add in the bumbled snaps, terrible inaccuracy (mid-way through the 2nd quarter he under-threw a wide open Ricardo Louis by five yards on what should have been a touchdown) and inability to move the ball with his legs and the performance should serve as a slap in the face for anyone thinking he’s the solution at quarterback.
Sure he can improve, maybe he was just having a bad day, we’ve all seen him play better, but to perform that poorly against that defense tells us all he’s not “the guy.
