Riding on the high of a major recruiting flip of Chilton County High School star linebacker Demarcus Riddick from Georgia on July 26, the Auburn football program reportedly has more good news for fans: “There’s optimism” that Jarquez Hunter will be available for the start of fall camp, with relying on USF transfer Brian Battie, second-year Damari Alston, and incoming Montgomery Catholic recruit Jeremiah Cobb being the Tigers’ hedge if for some reason something changes.
“There’s optimism within the program that Hunter will be good to go for the start of camp, but if he’s unavailable for any period of time, there will obviously be an increased load on the Tigers’ other tailbacks,” Auburnundercover’s Nathan King wrote.
