This past weekend at Jordan-Hare stadium, country music star Kenny Chesney kicked off his 2016 Spread the Love stadium tour by performing at the Music and Miracles Superfest, an event founded by late Chicken Salad Chick co-founder Kevin Brown, as part of his foundation that targets the fight against cancer and feeding the hungry. Proceeds from the concert went directly to the foundation.
Over 50,ooo fans showed up to see Chesney, Miranda Lambert, country group Old Dominion and former UAB quarterback Sam Hunt turn Pat Dye field into a huge Saturday night party. Though not the first concert at Jordan-Hare, it was certainly one of the biggest.
