Few players in recent memory have received the volume of praise that Justin Garrett has garnered in his time at Auburn. It’s true that coaches are quick to give one-liners about a specific player’s development or attitude. “So-and-so is coming along” or “John Doe had a good week of practice” is typically the limit. Not so for No. 26. Garrett has been on the receiving end of almost gushing reviews from four different defensive coaching regimes.
And yet, the player from Stone Mountain Georgia hasn’t done much on the field for Auburn. This coaching staff has, again, been very high on Garrett to the point of saying he is in a position to carve out a starting spot.
