So with the news that redshirt freshman, Sean White will be the starting quarterback Saturday, confirmation has come that the Gus Bus is leaking some oil and smoke is starting to appear a little bit; leaving a bewildered fan base questioning as to what has happened to this high potent offense. Is this the end of the genius mind of Gus Malzahn? Is he panicking by switching quarterbacks? Has all his tricks been figured out by the other side now? I don’t think so. Coach Malzahn didn’t all of the sudden forget how to coach. He still has a plan and wants to drive that plan forward and I believe he can still do it successfully, but switching a quarterback isn’t going to be the quick fix to do the job.
