Everyone knows how important special teams are. No need to inform any Auburn fan of that fact. For that matter, the same could be said about any Alabama fan far enough up the food chain to have consistent access to the Internet for the past two years. And now the entire states of Michigan, Louisiana and Florida know this fact too. Special teams can tip a game from a sure win to a humiliating loss in as little as one second.
They can either be a welcome blessing or a ‘welcome to the SEC’ moment for any head coach, new or old.
