AUBURN, Ala. - Auburn soccer junior defender Taylor Troutman has been named to the 2017 College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District Team, the organization announced Thursday.
The award recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom.
First-Team Academic All-District recipients advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America Team ballot, where first-, second- and third-team All-America honorees will be announced in December.
"For Taylor to be named Academic All-District is a credit to her abilities both on the soccer field and in the classroom," head coach Karen Hoppa said.
