AUBURN, Ala - Many a championship has been won in the summer months by Auburn student-athletes willing to pay the price by practicing twice.
For diver Scott Lazeroff, those two-a-days take place in the James E. Martin Aquatics Center.
He’s there at 7 each morning for conditioning and fundamentals, like trying to perfect the minimal-splash “rip entry.”
After lunch, he’s back it for another two-hour session with diving coach Jeff Shaffer.
Lazeroff capped his freshman season by finishing third on platform at the NCAA Championships in March, Auburn’s best finish in the event in a decade.
