Zane Grothe, Micah Lawrence and Annie Lazor each advanced to the semifinals of their respective events on Tuesday at the US Olympic Swimming Trials in Omaha. Grothe would finish 16th in the 200-meter freestyle while Lazor and Lawrence would finish 10th and 15th, respectively, in the 100-meter breaststroke.
Grothe, who finished fourth in the 400m freestyle on Sunday, was 11th out of prelims after swimming a 1:48.29. He was not able to keep that pace in Tuesday’s semifinals, swimming a 1:50.24.
Lawrence, who was on the US Team in 2012 in the 200-meter breaststroke, swam a 1:07.
