Peter Holoda put the swimming world on notice on Thursday afternoon. The sophomore from Hungary out-touched the field in the 50- and 100- freestyles and served up the fastest anchor leg in the 200 medley relay as Auburn traveled to Texas for its first dual meet of the new year.
“Peter was strong and it was good to see him get some wins,” Auburn head coach Brett Hawke said. “It was tough to get wins out there today so when Peter broke through it was a good feeling.”
Holoda, who competed but did not place at last year’s NCAA Championships, started his day off with a 19.
