Patching touched the wall first in the 200 freestyle (1:37.06), the 200 backstroke (1:43.66) and the 400 IM (3:50.26) as the Auburn men’s swimming and diving team claimed a 158-142 win at Alabama on Friday, Oct. 9. All three times were NCAA B cuts and he won the 200 free by over a second, the 200 back by two-and-a-half seconds and the 400 IM by just under five seconds.
“He was definitely the star of the show for us today,” head coach Brett Hawke said following Friday’s win.
