“We had a better day today,” Auburn head diving coach Jeff Shaffer said. “Carly was consistent in the prelims and then improved her score in the finals.”
Scheper scored a 302.10 in the women’s 3-meter final to move up one spot after posting a 284.90 in the prelims.
On the men’s 1-meter, Youtsey scored a 314.55 in the final and Turnham a 289.20. Youtsey had entered the finals in third with a 323.10 prelims score while Turnham was in ninth after a 301.05.
“Both Justin and Pete had some great dives in the finals,” Shaffer said.
