AUBURN, Ala. – Nearly four months after its graceful exit from its first Women’s College World Series, the Auburn softball team will return to the competition field this Sunday for its first double-header of the 2015 fall season as it begins its new road back to Oklahoma City.
Auburn will face the Division II National Champion North Georgia Nighthawks for two games Sunday starting at 2 p.m. at Jane B. Moore Field, its first two of an eight-game fall schedule against five different opponents.
Even though this year’s Tiger squad will be without outfielders Branndi Melero, Morgan Estell and catcher McKenzie Kilpatrick, a large portion of its roster returns with a bevy of experience led by All-Americans Emily Carosone, Kasey Cooper and Tiffany Howard.
