OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. – Freshman Alyssa Rivera has been tabbed to the initial list of 20 invitees for the 2017 USA Softball Junior Women’s National Team (JWNT) Selection Camp, the Amateur Softball Association (ASA)/USA Softball announced on Tuesday.
Should Rivera accept the invitation, the Eagle Lake, Fla. native will have the opportunity to make the country’s junior team in a tryout at Eddie C. Moore Softball Complex in Clearwater, Fla., Dec. 31-Jan. 1.
Rivera is one of only 10 currently enrolled at a Division I university to receive the invitation.
During the selection process, athletes will participate in position drills as well as simulated games and be evaluated by the USA Softball Women’s National Team Selection Committee (WNTSC).
