SEC Legislative Proposals 5 and 6A passed last week during the annual meeting at the Sandestin Hilton Resort. Proposal 5, which was presented by Georgia and Kentucky, amends SEC Bylaw 15.01 and adds SEC Bylaw 15.01.3. It requires each member school to prove a writer report to the SEC office “identifying the value of the institutions ‘other expenses related to attendance at the institution’ for the upcoming academic year.” Moreover, each of the 14 SEC institutions will have to provide within that report the methodology used to calculate those figures, including any miscellaneous numbers that factor into the overall cost of attendance.
