An historic season for the Auburn Soccer Team came to an end today as the Tigers were eliminated from their first ever NCAA Sweet 16. Auburn fell to the defending National Champion Florida State Seminoles 2-0 in Tallahassee.
The 19th-ranked Tigers not only played in their first Sweet 16 but the teams’ 16 total wins set a program record for most wins in a season. Junior Casie Ramsier finished the season tied for the second-most goals in a season by an Auburn player (12) while 11 different players hit goals on the year.
Auburn Head Coach, Karen Hoppa said she was very proud of her squad.
