SILVER CITY, N.M. - Auburn softball assistant coach Scott Woodard will be inducted into the Western New Mexico University Athletic Hall of Fame, announced by the university. Woodard is set to be enshrined during the 2017 Homecoming festivities, Sept. 23.
Woodard enjoyed a successful 20-year career with the Mustangs, serving multiple roles such as the director of athletics, head softball coach, head baseball coach and an assistant football coach.
He also helped run the compliance office during the transition from NAIA to Division II and was involved in building a new softball field, football complex and an expansion to the tennis facility.
