Root for more reps: Auburn’s Braden Smith uses combine bench press to raise funds for autism support

Anyone who watched Auburn guard Braden Smith during his SEC career knows he is a seriously strong guy. At this week’s NFL Scouting Combine, every pound he lifts will be boosting more than just his draft stock.

Smith is using the combine to raise funds for Autism Speaks as part of a PledgeIt campaign that will donate money for each bench-press rep he completes.

Fans can pledge from 75 cents to $10 for each rep at the combine.

Smith said his interest in autism support dates to his youth in Olathe, Kan., when he participated in a program alongside children with autism at an elementary school.
