Rod Bramblett, the radio play-by-play voice for Auburn football, had no intentions of writing a book. Then “Kick Six” happened. Over a year and a half later, “Touchdown Auburn: Carrying on the Tradition of the Auburn Tigers,” Bramblett’s reflections on his long career inside the Auburn athletic department, is scheduled to hit bookstores.
“(The) publishing company came to me six months or so after the ‘Kick Six,’” Bramblett told Gridiron Now. “It took me about eight or nine months to finally say ‘Yes.’
“I was like, ‘Who would be interested in reading this?’ Even the Auburn fan, as passionate as they are, what do I have to say that would interest them and make them go out and spend $20 on a book?
