War Eagle, everybody! It’s time now for another Auburn football preview! On November 5th, the Vanderbilt Commodores visit Auburn. This will mark Vandy’s first trip to Auburn since 2007, which ended in a 35-7 Auburn win. Since then, Auburn has lost twice to the Commodores, 14-13 in 2008, and 17-13 in 2012. It is worth noting that the last Auburn coach to survive a loss to Vanderbilt and still retain his job the next season, was Shug Jordan, losing 25-13 in the 1955 Gator Bowl. Vanderbilt was easily the worst team in the SEC in head coach Derek Mason’s first season in 2014.
