Rehab after shoulder surgery could keep Jarrett Stidham out of at least part of Auburn’s spring practice

AUBURN, Ala. – Gus Malzahn’s National Signing Day news conference included some tidbits outside of Auburn’s 2018 recruiting class, including an update on the health of Tigers quarterback Jarrett Stidham.

Malzahn revealed that Stidham could miss the first two weeks of spring practice after having a procedure done on his non-throwing shoulder last month.

“At this point, it looks like he probably will not start participating until after spring break,” Malzahn said. “So if that is the case, the two younger guys will get those four or five practices under their belt before he gets back.”

Those two younger guys are sophomore Malik Willis and true freshman Joey Gatewood, who enrolled last month after signing in December.
