Will Muschamp and South Carolina won an important in-state recruiting battle when four-star WR Bryan Edwards of Conway High selected the Gamecocks over Clemson. Edwards (6 feet 3, 208 pounds) is a big target. He’s more of a straight-line runner but does show some good stop-and-start quickness for a bigger wide receiver. He’s South Carolina’s highest-rated commitment and the Gamecocks’ lone wide receiver pledge. The second commitment of the day for Muschamp came from DE Sadarius Hutcherson of Huntingdon (Tenn.) High. Hutcherson (6-6, 250), who also played offensive tackle in high school, committed to South Carolina over Memphis, Arizona State and Louisville.
