For the first time since 1976… Auburn baseball swept Alabama in Tuscaloosa. The Tigers outscored the Tide 44-10 in the series and put an exclamation mark on the weekend with a 20-5 victory — which included an 11-run eighth inning — in the second game of Saturday’s doubleheader.
Auburn now sits with a .500 record in the conference, which, considering the strength of the SEC, is actually fairly good and only one game back from the top of the division. However, the road gets much tougher beginning this weekend. The Tigers must travel to Gainesville to face the top ranked Florida Gators before coming back home to face Vanderbilt.
