Now Auburn hopes that some home-field advantage can come with the extended stay in the Bayou.
Beginning on Friday night, No. 8 Auburn will begin a three-game series against No. 5 LSU in a series that will have a heavy hand in deciding the top four seeds in the upcoming SEC Tournament, which will also be played in Baton Rouge May 6-9. Following the three-game set, Auburn will not return to town as the team will prepare for the SEC Tournament.
“We still should be in the top four, we still have a chance to win the SEC regular season, there are just a lot of combinations,” Auburn coach Clint Myers said.
