AUBURN, Ala. — Former Auburn coach Pat Dye had a lot of good things to say about the Tigers this spring when he joined ESPN 106.7 in Auburn on Wednesday afternoon.
When discussing practice at the start of the week, he said, “I don’t think they were as sharp as they were when they left, but it takes a day like that to get the rust off.”
The Tigers took a full week off as they observed spring break, and Dye said the time away impacted some of the practice.
Regardless of rust, Dye said he likes all three phases of Auburn’s team.
