AUBURN, Ala. – Pat Dye thinks Auburn had a lot going on for itself last season, with one glaring exception.
The former Tigers coach said Wednesday on “The Coach Pat Dye Show” that quarterback play was the biggest hindrance to the team during the 2016 season, while others played at a high level.
“We had all the pieces last year, we just struggled at the number one position on the team: Quarterback,” Dye said.
But Dye also said he likes what he sees out of the quarterbacks this spring, which includes two new options in the competition for the starting role in junior college transfer Jarrett Stidham and freshman Malik Willis.
