After Auburn defeated Idaho 59-34, Gus Malzahn met the press and lauded the defense for stopping the Vandals several times on fourth-down. The Tiger coach also said he felt like the three turnovers were big plays in the game.
Gus was just as proud of the offense for not having any turnovers. “That was really a focus, protecting the football, said Malzahn. “Overall, I am pleased to get the sixth win and get bowl eligible. I think the team came out of that one fairly healthy.”
“And we got the chance to play a lot of guys that deserved to play late.
