Auburn defensive end Carl Lawson won’t be playing in the Senior Bowl after all because he is ineligible for the annual showcase event, game officials announced Thursday.
Senior Bowl executive director Phil Savage posted on Twitter about Lawson’s status.

The result was based on a change in Lawson’s academic schedule. Juniors can only participate in the game if they’ve actually graduated by December.
