Any questions about Auburn’s starting quarterback position for the 2016 season were answered by Sean White in the Tigers’ 51-14 win against Arkansas State. Under White’s direction, Auburn ran 85 plays for 706 total yards — second-most in school history.
“We came out and looked like an Auburn offense for the first time,” Auburn coach Gus Malzahn told reporters afterward. “When we can run the football, it opens everything else up. Without looking at the film, I can tell that they definitely improved.”
Compared with Auburn’s loss to Clemson, this team – White especially – looked completely different.
