AUBURN, Ala. – Mike Rojas hit a bases-clearing double as part of an eight-run third inning, but No. 7 Auburn baseball fell 11-8 to Georgia Tech Tuesday at Plainsman Park.
“I thought the game turned in the first inning going 22 minutes and getting one out, and giving up five runs,” Auburn head coach Butch Thompson said. “I thought it turned right out the gate by not being able to come out and attack and get the game underway from our starter. I felt like that’s what we were chasing the whole ballgame. We’ve played so well and done so many things.
