AUBURN, Ala. – No. 11 Auburn women’s tennis defeated DePaul, 4-0 on Friday at Yarbrough Tennis Center to advance to the second round of the NCAA Women’s Tennis Tournament for the second-straight season.
The Tigers will face No. 37 Florida State on Saturday for a chance to advance to the NCAA Team Championships in Athens, Ga.
“This was a good win over a tough opponent,” Auburn head coach Lauren Spencer said. “DePaul is one of the toughest teams we’ve ever played in the first round and we came out and set the energy early in doubles and took care of business.
