Well, at least he paid us a visit before nearly ruining our stadium dedication. We know this because of that photo. That one photo. That’s really all you ever see. That’s what they put in the books. That’s all I had to work with. Until Edward Cochran wrote.

Cochran’s dad, William “Bill” A. Cochran, graduated from Auburn in 1941. He was an electrical engineering major. He was also apparently an amateur photographer. And when FDR came to town in March 1939, he was ready.
