The Jaguars gave up a solo home run and starting pitcher Farish Beard was pulled after only pitching two-thirds of the first inning.
Things improved quickly for Jaguars.
Behind 14 hits and after taking advantage of three Chattanooga errors, South Alabama made easy work of the Mocs, 11-1, in 4 1/2 innings on Friday at Jane B. Moore Field.
After falling behind, 1-0, in the top of the first, South Alabama took the lead quickly in the bottom of the first with the help of two Chattanooga errors.
The Jagaurs added four runs in the second, three in the third and two in the fourth.
