AUBURN, Ala. – Dodging raindrops, the Auburn men’s tennis team fell 4-0 at No. 38 Alabama Sunday afternoon at the Alabama Tennis Stadium in Tuscaloosa.
Alabama’s two ranked doubles tandems captured the doubles point for the Crimson Tide with a 6-3 win on court two and a 6-4 victory on court one.
The Crimson Tide won straight set victories on courts six (6-0, 6-0) and one (6-1, 6-3) to take a 3-0 match lead. At that point, rain moved the match indoors and Alabama’s Zhe Zhou won 6-4, 6-2 over Auburn freshman Tad Maclean on court three to clinch the match.
