AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn was on the short end of a 4-3 men’s tennis decision at LSU Friday afternoon at the LSU Tennis Complex in Baton Rouge.
Auburn got off to a good start in doubles, as Carles Sarrio and Matteo De Vincentis took down Nik Samardzic and Julian Saborio on court two 7-5, but the other two matches went to tiebreakers at 6-6 and LSU won both by 7-6 scores to clinch the doubles point.
In singles, Sarrio jumped out and put Auburn on the board with a 6-2, 6-2 victory on court four, and Brandon Laubser posted a 6-2, 6-4 win on court six to give Auburn a 2-1 team lead.
