AUBURN, Ala. – The Auburn men’s tennis team had a full weekend of competition at the Commodore Scramble hosted by Vanderbilt in Nashville.
The Tigers got wins in singles from Olle Thestrup (2), Brandon Laubser (2), Carles Sarrio (2), Michael Durham and Edward Nguyen. Freshman Alex Rushin recorded his first victory at Auburn with a 6-4, 6-4 win over Skrabut (Furman).
The doubles teams of Sarrio and Durham, Laubser and Nguyen, and Rushin and Thestrup all advanced to the doubles quarterfinals round.
Other teams competing in the Commodore Scramble included Alabama, Furman, Lipscomb, Louisville, LSU and host Vanderbilt.
