AUBURN, Ala. - The Auburn men's tennis team couldn't complete a road comeback Friday afternoon at No. 29 Tulane, falling 5-2 at the City Park Pepsi Tennis Center in New Orleans.
Tulane started the afternoon picking up the doubles point with wins on courts one and two, and took a 3-0 lead when Luis Erlenbusch topped Auburn's Dante Saleh in singles on court five and Tyler Schick bested Edward Nguyen on court four.
Auburn got a three-set win from freshman Carles Sarrio on court two, 6-1, 4-6, 6-2 over Ewan Moore, and then sophomore Brandon Laubser posted a 7-6, 7-5 victory on court six over Tim Ruetzel to narrow the gap to 3-2.
