Former Auburn cornerback Marshall Taylor detailed the summer incident Friday that helped lead to the dismissal of running back Jovon Robinson last August.
Speaking with reporters for the first time since the incident, Taylor explained how Robinson left him unconscious in his dorm room untreated after sustaining injuries at a party in the Columbus, Georgia area.
“… things got ugly real fast,” Taylor said. “I took the worst end of it.”
Taylor said he was a victim of a physical altercation between Robinson and another man at the party.
“I’m pretty sure that he was messing with a married-type chick or something,” said Taylor, who Robinson invited to the party.
