JOHNS ISLAND, S.C. – Freshman Kayley Marschke posted a collegiate-best round of 67, leading a strong day for the Auburn women’s golf team Monday at the Briar’s Creek Invitational.
Marschke posted rounds of 67-73=140 (-4) to move into a tie for third place after a 36-hole day at The Golf Club at Briar’s Creek (par 72, 6,101 yards). The Tigers are in sixth place at 3-over-par after rounds of 288-291=579, one shot back of a tie for fourth place.
“Thirty-six hole days are always interesting with a lot of golf shots, both good and not so good,” Auburn head coach Melissa Luellen said.
