M. Tennis. Van Dooren Leads Men's Tennis at Georgia Tech

ATLANTA, Ga. – Auburn’s Joseph Van Dooren advanced in his singles bracket and teamed with Edward Nguyen for a doubles wins in first-day play at the Georgia Tech Fall Invitational taking place this weekend at the Ken Byars Tennis Complex in Atlanta.

Van Dooren won his first singles match 6-3, 6-2 over Kennesaw State’s Alejandro Valencia. Sophomore Viboosh Chandrasekar lost 6-0, 6-1 in singles against Joseph Bishop of Georgia State.

Two members of the Auburn team were playing in their first match for the Tigers. Sophomore transfer Edward Nguyen lost 6-3, 6-1 to Jannis Koeke of Georgia State; freshman Max Sivalls fell to Tennessee’s Preston Touliatos 6-1, 6-1.
