Traveling from Australia to Auburn, Ala., in 1998, Mark Kovacs had one expectation – to become a member of a U.S. collegiate men’s tennis team. Little did he know, his time at Auburn would result in he and Andrew Colombo winning the Auburn program’s first NCAA Doubles Championship, and a rewarding postgraduate career in the study of sports performance.
When he arrived on Auburn’s campus nearly 20 years ago, he immediately immersed himself into a new culture and life not knowing what the future would hold for him. This is a glimpse into the journey of tennis champion and Auburn alumnus, Mark Kovacs.
