AUBURN, Ala - With their professional success, former Auburn golfers Jason Dufner and Blayne Barber could have moved to Orlando, like so many of their fellow PGA Tour members.
With no state income tax, easy airport access and year-round golf, the Sunshine State makes a compelling case for touring pros.
But Auburn, the former Tigers say, offers even more.
"It's such a special place, and we love being there," says Barber, in his second season on the PGA Tour after turning pro in 2012. "A small-town feel with, for me, great opportunities for practice and preparation with the facilities that Auburn has afforded to the people on the team.
