M. Golf. No. 4 Auburn wins Mobile Sports Authority Intercollegiate; Johnson medalist

MOBILE, Ala. - No. 4 Auburn men's golf won the Mobile Sports Authority Intercollegiate for the fourth consecutive year, carding a 10-under 278 on Tuesday for a tournament record 26-under 838 total at the Magnolia Grove Crossings Course. All-SEC senior Michael Johnson took home medalist honors for the second time this season and fourth time in his career at 14-under 66-68-68-202.

Auburn (278-282-278-838) defeated Chattanooga (285-283-284-852) by 14 strokes and No. 2 Wake Forest (292-283-284-856) by 18 strokes. Johnson, the No. 2 ranked collegiate golfer by GolfWeek, tied Jay Moseley at the 2006 John Burns Intercollegiate and Blayne Barber at the 2010 Bridgestone Intercollegiate for the third-lowest 54-hole score in school history.
